I’m about to pull the trigger on a 2017 BMW 540i from a private seller in Sharjah, but the car has no service history for the last 30k km and the price is a bit too tempting. I found a service online at https://prepurchasecarinspection.ae/brands/bmw/ but I have no idea if they actually send a proper mechanic who knows the B58 engine or if it’s just a guy with a flashlight. Has anyone here booked an inspection through that page and can tell me if they gave you a detailed report with compression test or at least a full OBD scan? I don’t want to end up with a car that has hidden timing chain issues or a leaking valve cover. Any real feedback before I spend my Friday morning driving out there would save me a lot of headache.
